John and Carole Bandurchin

John and Carole Bandurchin

Carole and John create their pottery at their home in Baltimore, Ontario.  The main market is fine art and craft fairs. The studio is open by appointment only, except for the annual Northumberland Hills Studio Tour

Carole became hooked on ceramics while teaching elementary school.  There was a bag of clay in the art supply cupboard and she knew immediately that she wanted to explore its possibilities.  After starting a family she retired from teaching and expanded her skills and knowledge through practice and workshops as her children were growing up.  John began helping as Carole became busier, helping with shows, being the studio mechanic, electrician, plumber etc.  Soon he wanted to get directly involved in the creative process and now works full time in clay.

Carole and John have participated in many Fine Art and Craft Festivals in the past several years including:

  • Cabbagetown Art & Craft Sale, Toronto
  • Christmas at Presqu’ile, Brighton, ON
  • Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, Nathan Phillips Square
  • Fair November at Guelph University, Guelph, ON
